Cage The Elephant announced their new album Dying In Reverse and released the single “Make It Easy” on November 5, 2026, with the full record due February 5, 2027 via Big Loud Rock. The rollout started with a wink. The band debuted the song on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on November 3, and Kimmel held up the artwork for the still-unannounced album without saying what it was.
“Make It Easy” sits at track two of 12 and follows “Beaches In Tennessee” and the title track as the third single from the album. The record grew out of opening the North American leg of Oasis‘ reunion tour in 2025, and the sessions paired two sets of brothers: Matthew and Brad Shultz with producers Justin Raisen and SADPONY, also known as Jeremiah Raisen, whose credits run through Charli xcx, SZA and Yeah Yeah Yeahs. On paper that is a strange room. On this song it sounds like a band having a great time being loud.
At 3:17, the single gets in and gets out. Crisp rhythm guitar locks in under fuzzy lead riffs, the floor drops into a distorted breakdown over a grooving bassline, and Matthew Shultz moves between straight singing and rapid-fire delivery before the chorus turns the whole thing into a singalong. It feels ragged, quick, and built for rooms that sing back.
The momentum behind it is serious. “Beaches In Tennessee” gave the band their 14th No. 1 on Billboard’s Alternative Airplay chart, tying them for the second-most in the chart’s history, and Shultz calls the album “one of the most creatively gratifying experiences we’ve had as a group yet.” Next comes the NFL Munich halftime show on November 15, then a European headline run through February and March, right as this new chapter arrives.
