Two Friends took a real swing with Big Boots, and it paid off. The new five-track EP finds the duo leaning hard into a country-dance blend that could have felt gimmicky in the wrong hands, but instead comes across like a fun, fully committed step into a new lane.
What makes the project work is that it actually feels cohesive. “Don’t You Blink” with Tyler Braden and Lindsey Stirling, “Save A Little Love” with Dustin Lynch and Jessica Baio, “I Need Tomorrow” with Jake Banfield, “Under The Table” with Chris Lane, and “Wildfire” with BRELAND all bring something different, but the full release still feels tied together by the same open-road, hands-up energy.
You can hear the duo enjoying themselves on this one. Between the collaborators, the style shift, and the willingness to try something outside their comfort zone, Big Boots feels less like a side experiment and more like a project they genuinely believed in. That kind of confidence gives the EP its charm.
