Don Diablo built his own flip of A$AP Ferg’s “Plain Jane” while touring Saudi Arabia alongside Quavo and Metro Boomin, with no plan to ever put it out. Then it started doing damage. Every time he dropped it the response got bigger, until the thing turned into one of the loudest moments in his set. So he went back, sharpened it, and Ferg came aboard to make it official. It lands August 28, 2026 via HEXAGON.
The rework takes the 2017 original and drags it somewhere sweatier. Ferg’s delivery still carries that clipped, unbothered swagger, and Don Diablo builds the floor underneath it out of hard-edged synth stabs and a drop shaped for a crowd that already knows every word. It feels like the moment in a set where the lights cut out and every phone in the room goes up. Loud, unsubtle, and completely on purpose.
This is another hip-hop link-up pulled from FLUX, the record Don Diablo has framed as the closing chapter of a trilogy that runs through FUTURE and FOREVER. That run has already turned out “5 Minutes” with Pink Sweat$ on January 2, 2026, “More Than A Friend” with Bipolar Sunshine on February 13, 2026, and “Go Home With A Stranger” with Wiz Khalifa and Chri$tian Gate$ on March 20, 2026. Four collabs deep, and the Dutch producer currently sitting at No. 15 on DJ Mag’s Top 100 keeps pointing the same direction. Ferg, a founding member of A$AP Mob who turned Trap Lord into a lane of his own, sounds right at home in it.
