Two Friends put out “Never Has To End” on August 28, 2026, a collaboration with Bipolar Sunshine that Matt Halper and Eli Sones released entirely on their own, with no label anywhere on the credits. It runs two minutes and forty-three seconds. It feels like the shortest two minutes and forty-three seconds the duo have put their name to in a while.
The voice on it belongs to Adio Marchant, the Manchester singer who has recorded as Bipolar Sunshine for a decade. Dance music knows him best from DJ Snake’s “Middle,” a 2015 record that earned certifications in eight countries. That history matters here, because it is the exact register this song reaches for. Marchant sings like someone who has done this before and knows precisely how much to hold back.
The track runs on momentum rather than peak-hour force. Warm chords, a bassline that keeps nudging forward, a hook that lands on the title and then gets out of the way. Two Friends have spent most of 2026 in country-crossover and rap territory, and this is a clear turn back toward the melodic dance-pop lane they came up in. It sounds lighter than their recent run, and it sounds deliberate.
The official video puts Marchant at the center rather than the duo, opening on an overhead shot of him alone in an empty concrete lot ringed by brick walls. The single has passed 430,000 Spotify plays, which for a record with no label pushing it is its own kind of result. Two Friends also have Big Boots Land coming on December 5, 2026, the country-EDM festival they built at The Truth in Nashville. “Never Has To End” sounds nothing like that world, which makes the range look intentional rather than scattered.
