HUGEL released “Mami” with Neton Vega on September 18, 2026 through Make The Girls Dance Records, his own label. It arrives as part of the run building toward a special edition of Twenty One, due October 16, 2026, and it turns the album’s house sound toward Mexico.
The track runs on Latin house grooves with Mexican-inspired trumpets cutting across the top and percussion doing the heavy lifting underneath the vocal. It feels built for the hour when a room quietly decides it is not going home. HUGEL has spent the year learning exactly where that hour sits.
Netón Vega is the newer name here for most dance floors, and he came in carrying weight. The La Paz singer-songwriter was writing “La People” and “Rubicon” for Peso Pluma before his own records took over, and Mi Vida, Mi Muerte finished 2025 as the most-streamed album in Mexico. On “Mami” he sits on the four-on-the-floor like he has been doing it for years.
HUGEL’s year has been absurd. Twenty One debuted at No. 1 on Spotify’s Album Charts, “Movin’ To The Sun” gave him his second No. 1 on Billboard’s Dance Airplay chart, and he was the most Shazamed artist in the world. “Mami” follows “Bad Bitch” with Sexyy Red and Gatano from August 2026, and it is the sharper turn of the two.
