Emmit Fenn released “The Feeling” on August 28, 2026 through TH3RD BRAIN, produced by Fenn himself alongside Twin Lee. The Los Angeles producer, composer and vocalist has spent this year putting singles out rather than building toward an album, and “The Feeling” belongs to that run.
The run has been a steady one. “Closer,” “Water,” “Summer Days” and “Lungs” all arrived across 2026, as did “Dreams,” which we wrote about here in April 2026. TH3RD BRAIN is handling the release with IIP-DDS on distribution, and Twin Lee is the one credit here worth pulling out, since it sits in the distributor block rather than in any announcement.
It sounds like the lane Fenn has been working in since “Painting Greys,” the piano-led track that broke him, and the debut album Far From Here. Warm, unhurried, built around a melody that turns up early and then refuses to leave. He produces, composes and sings on his own records, and that shows in how few moving parts these songs actually need.
The live side has picked up to match. Songkick logs 21 shows for him in 2026 against five in 2025, with Los Angeles far and away his most-played market. Four more LA dates sit on that calendar for September 24 through 27, 2026, listed at a Downtown address with no venue name attached to them yet.
