Seven Lions and Kill The Noise released “I Need” on August 28, 2026 under Monstercat’s Uncaged imprint, a co-release with Seven Lions’ own Ophelia Records. It runs three minutes and nine seconds at 147 BPM in C minor, which is a technical way of saying it does not spend long being polite. Melodic dubstep with the safety off.
The last time these two shared a Monstercat release it was “Cold Hearted” back in 2017, and the pairing has always worked for the same reason. Seven Lions writes the ache, Kill The Noise supplies the damage, and the two things sharpen each other instead of competing. It feels like a record built by people who know exactly which eight bars the crowd came for.
Guillem handled the artwork, and it earns its place. A lone armored figure with a sword, a colossal skeletal dragon lit from within in violet, and a field of skulls between them. Very on brand for a label that has spent a decade making dance music look like a fantasy paperback cover, and very on brand for Seven Lions.
