Kaskade has Wooli and MAXINE alongside him on “Hear Me Now”, the newest piece of the ORIGIN// rollout on his Arkade imprint. Wooli brings the weight, MAXINE carries the vocal, and Kaskade keeps the melodic centre of gravity that has held his catalogue together for two decades. It feels like the moment a set drops out of the clouds and hits the floor.
The pairing has been coming for a while. Kaskade, born Ryan Raddon, spent the year edging into heavier territory, most obviously on “A Little Bit” with Crankdat. Wooli, who has built a career next to Subtronics and Excision and cut his early records for Monstercat and Ophelia, has always had more melody in him than the bass tag suggests. When an X user asked why the two would ever share decks, Wooli simply pointed at an unreleased collaboration and a remix of “Meet Again” he had been dropping in sets.
“I have tons of melodic stuff to bounce off of his discography. I’m excited for the challenge.” – Wooli
They go back to back at Pacha New York in Brooklyn on September 3, 2026, the opening night of an ORIGIN// run that carries Kaskade through to Thailand in December.
