Will Swinton is back with “Only One,” and it feels like another strong step in a run that is getting harder to ignore. The new single follows recent releases like “Better Off” and “Find a Way,” arrives just after his Australian run with mgk, and lands as he heads toward Lollapalooza Chicago later this year. Built with Ethan Schneiderman and Paul Phamous, the track pairs driving guitar with a bruised vocal that leans fully into longing, desperation, and the mess of wanting something that is already slipping away.
“Only One” does not try to be clever. It just cuts straight to the nerve, and that is exactly why it works. We will see this guy go to massive heights by this time next year.
