mgk and Wiz Khalifa have officially released blog era boyz, a collaborative mixtape that taps straight into the loose, internet-era energy that first made both of them hit. The project moves through reflective cuts, stoner-friendly records, melodic moments, and lifestyle-heavy flexes without sounding forced, which is a big part of why it works.
What really carries it is the chemistry. More than a decade after “Mind of a Stoner,” the two still sound natural together, and that easy back-and-forth gives the tape its charm.
With Wiz already on the road with mgk for the Lost Americana tour, the release feels well-timed too. blog era boyz lands like a fun, nostalgic reminder of what connected their fanbases in the first place.
The “everything tatted” video leans into the wild, carefree side of the tape, with mgk and Wiz Khalifa bringing that rebellious energy to the screen in a way that feels loose, loud, and very on brand for both of them.
The “girl next door” visual plays into a more nostalgic, laid-back mood, matching the song’s hazy feel while featuring comedian Lindsey Fishman in the cast and giving the whole thing a fun, personality-filled edge.
