Doechii shared “LOCK JAW” on October 30, 2026, the third freestyle Swamp Session she has posted this month while she works on her debut album. It went up on her official YouTube channel at just under three minutes, and it keeps this run moving at a pace that feels a little reckless in the best way.
The Swamp Sessions go back to 2024, before Alligator Bites Never Heal, when she would set a one-hour timer, write a song and post whatever she had when it ran out. A few of those grew into mixtape cuts, including “BOOM BAP” and “NISSAN ALTIMA.” The revival started with “BOMBS” on October 12 and “CATWOMAN” on October 20, and “LOCK JAW” makes it three in under three weeks.
Doechii directed this one herself, with Taya Lee co-directing as movement director and Carlos Acosta editing, the same hand that cut “BOMBS.” The cast runs deep, a whole crew of dancers and collaborators that even includes David Jaelin, the photographer behind her latest press shots. With a movement director in the credits and that many bodies in frame, the whole thing feels built around motion as much as bars.
The debut album still has no title or release date, and these sessions feel like a rapper sharpening every tool in public before the big moment. Fast, playful, and a little dangerous. If the homework sounds like this, we cannot wait for the main event.
“I spent the last few years relearning Hip-Hop as a student.” – Doechii
