Forester’s “Electric Soul” Gets A Late-Night Rebuild From YOTTO

Forester released “Electric Soul (YOTTO Remix)” on September 18, 2026 through Palm Tree Records. The original sits at track nine on Somewhere In Between, the LA duo’s album from March 20, 2026, and the label puts it at 2.1 million streams. YOTTO has spent his current run teasing this version from the booth.

The interesting part is where the original came from. “Electric Soul” was written by Xander Carlson and David Parris with Jackson Phillips, who records and produces as Day Wave, and who has Sunflower Bean, Hazel English and Tennis on his ledger. So an indie-pop production has been handed to a melodic-house remixer. That is a longer trip than most remix packages bother taking.

YOTTO takes a two-minute-fifty-two original and gives it room. Forester kept the thing restrained. The Finnish producer stretches it to club length, builds the low end out underneath it, and lets the melody arrive on its own schedule. It sounds like a record made for the hour when a set stops being about individual songs.

Otto Yliperttula has been working this lane a long time. He came up through Anjunadeep, runs his own Odd One Out label, and has put his hands on records by Orbital, Gorillaz, Röyksopp and Coldplay. This one is a single entry in a remix run off Somewhere In Between that has already pulled in Icarus, Eli & Fur, and Coco & Breezy. Forester have been signed to Palm Tree Records, Kygo’s label, since May 2020.
