Palm Tree Crew took Palm Tree Music Festival to Beachclub in Pointe-Calumet, just outside Montreal, on September 7, 2026, turning Labour Day Monday into a noon-to-night send-off for the season. PAWSA headlined, with Ben Sterling and GENNARO on a bill that stayed firmly in house territory.
Beachclub is a strange and perfect place to put this festival. Billed as North America’s largest outdoor beach complex, it is a man-made shoreline outside the city that holds upwards of ten thousand people, and Palm Tree’s whole aesthetic of sand, palms and permanent golden hour was built into the venue before anyone hung a banner. Doors opened at noon. The photos run from hard daylight through to confetti under a neon palm tree, which is about as complete an arc as a day party gets.
PAWSA at the top of the bill set the tone, big and loose and tilted toward the groove rather than the drop, which is close to ideal for a beach at the end of summer. Ben Sterling works the same lane. GENNARO rounded it out. It sounds like a bill programmed for people who turned up intending to dance all day.
The other half of a Palm Tree event is the hospitality, and Montreal got the full build. The Palm Club, the festival’s premier tier, hosted a mix of celebrities, athletes and creators, and the grounds carried activations from Tequila Don Julio, CELSIUS, Matua and Saint James Iced Tea. It is a lot of branding for one beach. It is also what a Palm Tree date is at this point, and the crowd showed up for exactly that.
Palm Tree Music Festival is curated by Kygo and Myles Shear, and it has run in the Hamptons, Aspen, Hawaii and Mexico since launching in 2021. The promoter billed Montreal as its first Canadian date. On a Labour Day Monday at the edge of a man-made beach, it looked like a format that travels.
