Now this one pulls at something deeper. Kygo has started teasing a new track with Dan Tyminski, the singer whose voice became permanently tied to Avicii’s “Hey Brother,” and the pairing already feels loaded with meaning before the song is even out.
There is something quietly powerful about bringing that voice back into the dance space. For a lot of listeners, Dan Tyminski does not just remind them of a song, he brings back a whole moment in electronic music when melody, emotion, and storytelling were hitting people in a different way.
That is why this collab feels special. Kygo has always carried some of that same heart-forward instinct in his production, so hearing him link with Tyminski feels less like a random studio match and more like a respectful bridge between eras.
At the very least, it sounds like one worth paying attention to. And at best, it could end up being a really beautiful nod to a legacy that still lives with a lot of people.
