Fred again.. really said here, take all of it. He just uploaded a 108-hour video to YouTube made up of every set from every show of usb002, turning one of his wildest live runs into a massive archive for anyone who wants to relive it.
The scale of it is kind of absurd in the best way. According to Fred, it took forever to even figure out how to make it happen, and he has been told it might be the longest video on YouTube. More than anything, though, the upload feels like a way to document the chaos, energy, and insane run of back-to-back sets with an unreal list of collaborators.
He also made a point to shout out the fans, saying the people who showed up helped shape the shows just as much as the artists did. That part tracks, because usb002 never really felt like a normal run of performances, it felt like a living, breathing moment that kept getting bigger with every stop.
And now, after all of that, Fred is stepping back to write music. Not a bad sign for what comes next. We can’t wait to see what he has in store for us.
