John Summit played a DJ set on the trading floor of the New York Stock Exchange on September 18, 2026, every trading-post screen in the room switched over to the Experts Only logo and the entire floor lit green. Cash App and Visa presented it, and the release bills it as the first live music performance ever staged at the venue.
The symmetry is the whole joke. Summit was a practicing CPA before he was a touring DJ, he made a thirteen-track album about walking away from that job, and he put it out on Tax Day. Then he played Wall Street in a suit, behind the decks, on the floor where the actual money moves. CTRL ESCAPE arrived April 15, 2026, and this set is the punchline it had been building toward.
It feels like the kind of stunt that only lands because the premise is real, and Summit put it plainly in the caption on his own post.
“JUST TOOK OVER THE NEW YORK STOCK EXCHANGE 💰 the accountant in me never thought i’d make it on wall street 😭” – John Summit
The timing was deliberate. The set landed the night before Experts Only Festival returned to Randall’s Island Park in New York City on September 19 and 20, 2026, following a sold-out debut in 2025. Dressing the trading floor in Experts Only branding turned a private set into an advert for the weekend, and it is the loudest moment the CTRL ESCAPE run has produced.
