Hot Since 82 is getting ready to release Obsessions, a new album due out September 4. Our first taste of it comes through with tasteful “Shaded” featuring Shades Of Rhythm. The single feels like a strong way to open the campaign, giving fans an early look at the mood and direction of a project that already sounds like it will carry plenty of late-night weight.
“Shaded” lands in that sweet spot Hot Since 82 knows how to hit so well. It feels deep, controlled, and built with the kind of groove that does not need to scream to take over a room. There is tension in it, but also patience, which makes the track feel even stronger the longer it runs.
The bigger story, though, is Obsessions. A full album from Hot Since 82 already carries its own kind of anticipation, and leading with a record like “Shaded” makes it clear he is not rushing into this next chapter without intention. It feels measured, club-focused, and right in line with the sound that made his name matter in the first place.
