Kid Francescoli released his seventh studio album, A Kind Wave, on October 9, 2026 through All Night Long / Believe France. The Marseille producer and songwriter, real name Mathieu Hocine, made this one alongside Robin Coudert, the producer and live keyboardist for Phoenix, and that pairing makes a lot of sense the second the first synth line comes in.
The other voice running through it belongs to Andréa Durand, who shows up on five of the album’s 11 tracks. She carries pre-album single “Don’t Get On The Plane,” which arrived September 9 and set the mood: dreamy, sunlit, warm synths up top and the beat sitting just underneath. Another single, “City of Gold,” brings in Nigerian singer Demigod and widens the map on a record that is about travel to begin with.
That travel idea is the spine of the whole thing. Hocine built the album around new encounters and connection, and around that feeling of life switching back on in the first days of summer in the South of France. You can hear it. The cinematic electro-pop he made his name on is still here, but it feels warmer and looser this time, more like a long drive down the coast with the windows open than a late night in the city. Sun-bleached, unhurried, and very French.
The song most people know him for is still “Moon (And It Went Like),” the track that went viral on social, got shared by Jennifer Lopez and Lizzo, landed in Netflix’s Emily in Paris and has passed 500 million streams. A Kind Wave feels like the record that turns that moment into a full era, and he is taking it across North America on a headline run in March and April 2027, from Mexico City’s Foro Puebla to the Imperial Bell in Quebec City.
