Elderbrook is opening a new chapter with the release of his latest single, “Lost in the View,” alongside the announcement of his fourth studio album, Heart on a Wire, arriving January 22, 2027, via Counter Records, an imprint of Ninja Tune.

Released October 13, “Lost in the View” finds the Grammy-nominated British producer, singer, and multi-instrumentalist leaning further into the emotional songwriting that has become a defining part of his sound. Written during his move from London to Los Angeles, the track explores change, distance, and the uncertainty that comes with starting over. His unmistakable vocals carry the song through atmospheric electronic production, creating something that feels both reflective and hopeful.

The accompanying black-and-white music video, directed by Wyatt Stromer, adds another layer to the release. Elderbrook performs surrounded by towering speakers while a couple dances in the rain, capturing the song’s underlying themes of connection and transition.

The upcoming ten-track album Heart on a Wire continues that direction, bringing together electronic production with a stronger emphasis on live instrumentation, alternative influences, and personal songwriting. Collaborations with Rules and Tourist are featured throughout the project, while previously released singles “Is It Over Now?,” “Staring at the Sun,” and “Never Get Enough” offer an early look at what’s ahead.

Elderbrook has spent years establishing himself as one of electronic music’s most recognizable voices, from his Grammy-nominated collaboration “Cola” with CamelPhat to fan favorites like “Inner Light” with Bob Moses. His ability to balance intimate songwriting with music built for massive festival crowds has helped him carve out a distinct space in dance music.

With Heart on a Wire, that balance appears to be shifting toward a more personal and alternative-inspired sound. Rather than simply expanding on previous releases, Elderbrook is putting his voice, songwriting, and musical instincts at the center of the project.
