Troye Sivan released “FF” on October 9, 2026, alongside his fourth studio album She’s the Best via Interscope Records. After the nightlife rush of “Party” and the title track’s tribute to the women and femme people who shaped him, track 10 is where the record goes quiet and looks inward. It’s a love song written to a man Sivan hasn’t met yet, and it arrives with a music video shot on Fire Island.
The title is shorthand, and the song spells it out at its peak: “Me and my baby are fucking forever, gone are the days of waiting for pleasure, concrete and steel, like some real architecture.” Sung with that much certainty, it lands like a wedding vow. The room behind him is stacked. Jack Antonoff, George Daniel, Cirkut, Madison Love, Leland and Jasper Harris all wrote and produced it with him, on the first album where Sivan carries a producer credit of his own.
Longtime collaborator Gordon von Steiner directed the video on Fire Island, New York, where Cherry Grove and the Fire Island Pines have long been gathering places for LGBTQ+ people. It drifts between the sand, sunlit interiors and close moments with the man at the center of the song. Slow, warm and a little hazy, it feels like a daydream about someone you’re still waiting on.
She’s the Best grew out of the quiet after his last touring cycle, when the Something to Give Each Other era wrapped with the SWEAT Tour alongside Charli xcx and Sivan kept coming back to empty hotel rooms. “FF” is that loneliness turned into hope, and he explains it best himself.
“‘FF’ is an undying love song to a man I don’t know yet. Or at least I don’t think I do. It’s me at my most longing, and about how lonely it is to love someone who isn’t here yet. It might sound like a vow, but it’s really a wish.” – Troye Sivan
