New York indie-pop duo SUM SUN announced their debut album Rendezvous on October 5, 2026, with the full record arriving December 4. Nick Benton and Ilan Pomerance shared the title track “Rendezvous” and its official video the same day, which turns the whole announcement into a proper introduction after a year of rolling singles out one at a time.
The title track started as a simple guitar idea that got pitched up until it became the song’s melodic backbone, and that bright, looping figure is the hook you keep coming back to. Put a dance-floor pulse underneath it and the whole thing sounds sunny, flirty, and a little restless. Camille DZY and Rowan Cassandra Lin directed the video.
SUM SUN have been building toward this one for a while. They spent part of 2026 on their first nationwide tour supporting The Strike, with stops in Chicago, Washington, DC and New York City, and their catalog has passed 25 million streams in three years. The duo say new shows are on the way, so this era looks set to hit the road too.
“‘Rendezvous’ feels like the moment it all came together for us… This record feels like the clearest picture yet of who we are: nostalgic, euphoric, restless, and always chasing summer.” – SUM SUN
