Some songs get to be the last word. Above & Beyond and Victoria Horn handed that job to “When You Believe,” out August 14, 2026 on Anjunabeats as the final single from Bigger Than All Of Us. It sets a genuinely hopeful lyric on top of a darker Balearic chord progression, and the line at the center of it carries the whole record: “When you believe in love, you believe in life. And your life will love you back.”
It got built backwards from how these usually go. Jono Grant had the chords first. Horn came in on top with the melody and the words. The chorus is where it turns strange in the best way, running an odd number of bars for a dance record, which is the thing Grant could hear immediately and could not name until he sat down and counted. It feels like a song that arrived sideways and got better for it.
“It’s got a real ‘90s feel to it. When our A&R heard the opening bassline, he said it reminded him of Haddaway, which definitely speaks to the ‘90s influence behind it.” – Jono Grant
Horn has been in this world before. She co-wrote “Counting Down The Days” on the trio’s 2015 album We Are All We Need, which makes this the second time the two have lined up. Everything before that was a different kind of career entirely. Session singing for TV adverts across the UK and US. Pre-cast recordings for West End musicals. A Geffen Records deal with a band she started alongside Andy Taylor of Duran Duran. Two decades on, she has written and sung for Armin van Buuren, Carl Cox, The Blessed Madonna, Paul Oakenfold, Pete Tong, and Ferry Corsten.
“I’m really proud of this song. I hope that it reaches the people that it needs to reach.” – Victoria Horn
The club version came out of the road. Bigger Than All Of Us sent the trio out on a 175,000-ticket global album tour, and the album cut needed more weight behind it to land in a room that size, so the Above & Beyond Club Mix got built for the sets. It has been running through North American amphitheatres, European clubs, and festival stages ever since, and it surfaced in mixed form on Anjunabeats Volume 17 on May 28, 2026. Both versions are out now. Next up is ABGT700 at The Gorge Amphitheatre in George, Washington, a three-day weekend from September 11 through 13, 2026, with Above & Beyond headlining Saturday, September 12, 2026.
