Rod Wave writes like every single is another chapter of the same story. “Hustle” came out July 31, 2026 on Alamo Records with a video attached, and it leads into Don’t Look Down, his seventh album, due August 28, 2026.
An electric guitar carries most of it, with hi-hats holding a tight line underneath so the whole thing has somewhere to sit. He spends the verses laying out a mindset rather than a scene, which has always been the mode that suits him. It feels like a man talking himself through something out loud.
Don’t Look Down runs to twenty four songs when it lands on August 28, 2026. If this is the tone, it is going to be a long, heavy sit. That has always been the deal with him.
