Lil Uzi Vert turned 31 and handed everybody else the present. Maverick “Almost Forever” arrived with no warning on July 31, 2026, eight tracks deep, no guest features anywhere on it, and his first project in two years. “Gas. Brake.” sits sixth.
It runs two minutes and fifty seconds and wastes none of them, written with ZeeGoinXrazy and delivered in that clipped, restless mode he falls into when he is actually enjoying himself. It feels like someone pacing a room they already own.
The EP cover is a baby photo of him with his grandmother, and there is a message tucked into it reading album after this. Eight songs with nobody else on them, then a promise. He is not being subtle about what comes next.
