2 Chainz released “A Week In Paris” on October 30, 2026 through Million Dollar Habits and EMPIRE, along with an official video. It is the latest look at Playaz Only Live Once, his full-length album with Statik Selektah, which arrives December 4 with Statik producing the whole thing. 2 Chainz is already calling it “some of my best work.”
Statik produced the single with Moo Latte, and the video puts 2 Chainz right where the title says, out on a Paris street with Haussmann-style buildings stacked up behind him. The verses run through the grind, taking life at his own pace, and actually enjoying the trip once he gets there.
The beat is smooth, laid-back and a little sultry, the kind of boom bap that sounds like a slow afternoon with nowhere to be. 2 Chainz sounds right at home on it. The punchlines still land with that sly, deadpan timing, and in the second verse he tips his hat to Kanye West‘s “Can’t Tell Me Nothing,” a nice wink for anyone who has been around since that era.
This pairing has been a long time coming. A joint 2 Chainz and Statik Selektah project was first reported back in May 2017, and the two have linked up on Statik’s own records since. Playaz Only Live Once now has 18 tracks listed, with “A Week In Paris” joining “Pops” and “Reign” with Young Nudy and Cash Cobain. If the rest of it moves like this, December 4 feels like a very good day for grown-up rap.
