1K Phew and Timbaland released their joint album SEVEN TRUMPETS on October 30, 2026 through Reach Records. It runs 12 tracks in about 26 minutes, every one of them produced by Timbaland, and the two of them have a name for what it sounds like: street gospel. Hard drums, real hip-hop swagger, and faith sitting right at the center of it.
They built it from a distance, over video calls, phone apps and laptops. Timbaland would send unfinished beats, 1K Phew would record his verses, and the tracks would come back loaded with new sounds. “He would send me beats I would’ve never picked and cadences I wouldn’t have never thought of,” 1K Phew told the AJC. The first taste was “SAFE!”, which landed with a full video.
You can hear Timbaland all over it. Syncopated drums, brassy melodies, little sound effects tucked into the corners, and on “SAFE!” his ad-libs basically become part of the percussion. “WALK ON WATER” has 1K Phew harmonizing and rapping over a clicking, bass-heavy beat. Project Pat pulls up on “NEW HEAVEN,” DJ Scream on “SCRIPTURES” and Lee Vasi on “MERCY.” Short songs, big bounce, every track wrapped inside 2:40. Or as 1K Phew put it to The Morning Hustle, “I’m saved, not soft.”
For Timbaland, this record is part of his own spiritual turn. He wanted to make music that glorifies God, and he told Rapzilla, “I didn’t want to do it in a corny way, in a lame way.” 1K Phew comes out of Stone Mountain, Georgia, and is signed to Lecrae‘s Atlanta label Reach Records, so this lane is home turf for him. It also looks like the start of a longer chapter. A second album from the pair is already planned for 2027.
