U2 have released Easter Lily, a new six-track EP that arrives as a separate body of work ahead of the band’s next studio album. Where some recent material leaned outward in response to the world around it, this set turns inward, moving through themes of friendship, grief, faith, and renewal with a more intimate tone.
There is a quieter weight to this project. Rather than chasing a grand statement, Easter Lily feels rooted in personal reflection, giving the songs room to sit with loss, connection, and the search for meaning without overplaying any of it. That approach gives the EP a more human scale, even as it still carries the emotional reach people expect from U2.
Taken as a whole, Easter Lily feels less like a stopgap and more like its own distinct chapter. It offers another look at where the band is creatively right now, and does so in a way that feels thoughtful, searching, and deeply felt.
