This one has gone from cool idea to must-hit event pretty fast. Two Friends are set to take over the flight deck of the USS Yorktown on Friday, June 19, turning the historic ship into a full-scale concert space with Charleston Harbor as the backdrop.
A big part of what makes this stand out is the setting, but the full experience sounds just as strong. Fans can expect a high-production setup with full sound, lighting, and stage design, plus live DJ sets from 6 to 10 p.m. before Two Friends close out the night. Every ticket also includes a four-hour open bar starting at doors, with beer and wine included and food available for purchase throughout the evening.
It is also worth highlighting the team behind it. Project 91 is helping bring the event to life, and the whole thing feels aligned with the kind of large-scale, destination-style experiences that hit differently when the details are done right.
There is real purpose behind the night too. A portion of proceeds will go to Going Places, a Charleston-based nonprofit that provides bikes to children in need, helping create access, independence, and opportunity through something many people take for granted.
With limited capacity aboard a landmark venue like this, it already feels like one of those events that will not stay available for long. If there is a Two Friends show that screams sellout, it is probably this one.
