Papa Roach are leaning all the way into the chaos of Devil May Cry with a new live-action video for “See U In Hell.” The track was already tied to season two of Netflix’s animated adaptation, but this new visual gives it a darker, more cinematic identity after the earlier version used footage from the series itself.
What makes the whole thing click is that the crossover never feels forced. Papa Roach came out of that peak nü-metal era where everything was loud, dramatic, and a little unhinged, and Devil May Cry has always lived in that same kind of exaggerated darkness. Throw in Hanumankind, and the song gets an extra jolt that keeps it from feeling like a nostalgia grab.
There is also a strong creative hand behind the track. Alex Seaver, better known as Mako, wrote and produced the entire song, which helps explain why it feels so sharp, modern, and fully built out instead of just existing as a tie-in.
The result feels bigger than a soundtrack cut. Between Papa Roach’s hook-heavy intensity, Hanumankind’s edge, and Mako’s full production touch, “See U In Hell” lands like a proper collision of worlds that were always going to make sense together.
