Myles Smith is back with “Hold Me in the Dark,” a new release from his upcoming debut album My Mess, My Heart, My Life. He has already called it one of his favorite songs he has ever written, and that kind of personal attachment comes through in the way the track lands.
The new single adds another emotional layer to the album rollout, which has already been building around songs like “Stargazing,” “Nice to Meet You,” and “Drive Safe” with Niall Horan. It also arrives after Myles pushed the album back by a week, choosing to slow things down rather than run himself into the ground.
That decision makes this release hit a little differently. “Hold Me in the Dark” feels open, thoughtful, and closely tied to the honesty that has made so many people connect with his music in the first place.
