Machine Gun Kelly named it “JJK” and let everyone catch up on their own. It stands for Jujutsu Kaisen, and knowing that cracks the whole thing open. The single pairs him with Japanese rapper Yuki Chiba, and the verses stack nods to Demon Slayer, Chainsaw Man and Hunter x Hunter on top of the title reference. mgk gets Fushiguro and shikigami into the same bar. This is fan-level detail.
No Love for the Middle Child, BazeXX and SlimXX built the beat into something heavy and wide open, and both rappers attack it at full speed. Director Sam Cahill drops the pair into a Japanese-inspired temple and shoots nearly all of it in black and white, leaving mgk in bright yellow and Chiba in red so the two of them are the only color on screen. Maggiolina animated the single artwork to match, and the whole thing feels built to travel.
Chiba is not showing up here as a guest. A breakout in “Team Tomodachi,” a chart-topping turn next to Megan Thee Stallion on “Mamushi,” collaborations with Murda Beatz, Feid and Big Sean. Sold-out headline runs across Australia and Europe are already behind him, and his debut North American headlining tour launches in November. He raps like someone who knows it.
mgk is in a busy stretch of his own. August opens with MGK Day 2026 at Northcoast Yard in Cleveland, the city-sanctioned celebration in his hometown, with a headlining set alongside Wiz Khalifa. The release follows blog era boyz, the mixtape the two put out in May. From there the run goes international, through Summer Sonic in Japan, a stop in Seoul, and three South American dates to close it out.
