Martin Garrix is stepping up to the mic for a whole album. MARTY, his debut pop album, arrives March 5, 2027 via STMPD Records and Darkroom Records, with Garrix singing lead across 14 tracks and features from U2, Ed Sheeran, Madonna and Aitana, with more names still to come. He broke the news at an exclusive Spotify pop-up show that opened Amsterdam Dance Event, where his top listeners got the first taste of several unreleased songs.
The title goes all the way back. DJ Marty was his first alias, back when the slogan was “Party with DJ Marty,” and the album plays like a life story told in order: childhood, the rise as a DJ, then his vision of the afterlife, every track a chapter stitched to the next with deliberate transitions and key changes. It opens on “Catharina,” named after his mother, who first pushed him to learn instruments. The thread running through all of it is eternal love, the kind that outlasts a life.
Bono is all over the making of it. He co-wrote on the album and mentored Garrix through it, coaching his vocal technique and pushing him to sing with more vulnerability. That bond already gave us “Fireflies,” the first track with all four members of U2, which grew out of voice notes and video calls with Bono and reached the UK radio Top 10. Garrix spent years writing on guitar and singing demo vocals for other artists, so hearing him front a full record feels like the curtain finally going up.
Getting here took a while. He wrote more than 400 songs over roughly a decade to land on these 14. The guest list maps his recent run too: “Repeat It” with Ed Sheeran in May 2026, “Bizarre” with Madonna, and a new song with Aitana that he premiered across two sold-out nights at Palacio de los Deportes in Mexico City.
“Even though I’ve been doing this for most of my life, I still feel like I’m just at the beginning.” – Martin Garrix
His latest single “This Dream Of You” opened his Tomorrowland headline set, orchestral intro and his own vocals up front, and he is also locked in to headline Ultra Music Festival in Miami from March 26 to 28. Until then, the Las Vegas residency nights and a Latin America run keep the year moving.
