Denzel Curry and Kenneth Blume, the producer most people still know as Kenny Beats, put “GONE FISHING” out with a video on August 21, 2026. It opens ii, their new album on Loma Vista Recordings, and it sets the terms straight away.
The whole record was built on an SP-404 beat machine and a cheap mic, and you can hear it. The drums sound like they were banged out in a room rather than assembled, and Denzel rides them the way he did on UNLOCKED in 2020, just older and far more deliberate about where he drops the weight. Nine tracks, with JPEGMAFIA, Westside Gunn, and Yebba turning up across them.

A film landed with it. “(RE)CONNECT” is a one on one conversation between the two of them about their careers and how the collaboration actually functions, which the release frames around a friendship that has survived a great deal of arguing. It follows the single and video for “DIFFERENCE” featuring Yebba.
Both of them are deep into a year. Denzel launched the rap group The Scythe with its debut Strictly 4 The Scythe, guested at Fred Again’s spring 2026 New York shows, supported Deftones on their EU and UK run, and heads out with Knocked Loose in fall 2026 behind their collaboration “Hive Mind.” Blume released FATHERS with Nate Smith, CARRTOONS, and Kiefer, and produced records for IDLES, Geese, Show Me The Body, and Rico Nasty. He also produced Weezer’s new self-titled album.
