Aaron Hibell‘s official remix of Empire Of The Sun‘s “Way To Go” landed on November 6, 2026 via Universal Music Australia, closing out a long run as one of the IDs people kept chasing. The original comes from the duo’s 2016 album Two Vines, and Hibell’s version arrives with an official visualizer on YouTube.
This one had been living in sets for months. EDMTunes was already calling it a highly anticipated rework in February, and Hibell worked it into his Tomorrowland Belgium set, where The Sober Raver heard it as the first clearly uplifting passage after a darker opening. It traveled fast once it was official too, turning up on the November 6 episode of The Martin Garrix Show from Martin Garrix.
Hibell pulls the song’s sunlit pop straight into his own melodic lane. At 3:38 it feels glossy, widescreen, and made for the moment a big room starts to lift, and that Empire Of The Sun vocal sounds right at home at festival scale.
It also fits a strong remix run for Empire Of The Sun in 2026, following the Alive (Reimagined) EP and Maceo Plex‘s take on “DNA.” For Hibell, it lands in the same era as his debut album SYNCHRONICITY and a packed run of dates that includes EDC Orlando, Dreamstate SoCal on November 20 and 21, and Dreamstate Vancouver on November 28. Two worlds, one very good excuse to put this on loud.
