Some songs are built to evolve. “Carry Me Home” already had that wide-open emotional pull people immediately grabbed onto, and now Koven have taken it somewhere faster, bigger, and a little more feral with a new drum & bass rework out on Anjunabeats.
What makes this remix click is that it does not lose the heart of the original. Zoë Johnston’s voice still carries all that lift and feeling, but Koven wrap it in a more urgent framework, pushing the track into a high-speed, cinematic lane that feels made for a packed floor and a full-volume system.
That kind of transformation suits Koven well. They have built their name on blending strong vocals, scale, and impact, and this version of “Carry Me Home” fits neatly into that world while still respecting what made the Above & Beyond original hit in the first place.
The result is a remix that feels emotional and explosive at once. Not an easy balance, but this one gets there.
