Subtronics did not just show up to Coachella, he left a mark all over it. His 2026 set turned into one of the most talked-about moments of the weekend, especially once Inéz came out to perform “EYES CUT DEEPER” live, giving the now-released track a huge onstage moment that felt even bigger in front of that crowd.
And then he kept stacking surprises. Oliver Tree popping out to sing live added another full-on chaos moment to the set, the kind of left-field appearance that instantly sends the crowd into a different gear and gives everyone watching something to talk about after the fact.
Still, one of the most unhinged parts came around the 30-minute mark when Subtronics dropped the Subtronics & Excision “A.F.B.1. (VIP)” moment with that Frank Sinatra twist worked in. It was absurd in the best way, loud, theatrical, and completely dialed in to the kind of madness people want from a big festival set. Check out the Instagram video in the post for that part alone.
Altogether, this was not some routine festival appearance. It felt oversized, unpredictable, and built for impact from start to finish, which is exactly why people are still talking about it.
