Shaboozey And Gunna Ride Into Football Season On “High Noon”

Some singles get a rollout. This one got a whole football season. Shaboozey and Gunna made “High Noon”, and ESPN named it the official anthem of the 2026-27 college football season, which puts it through ESPN and ABC broadcasts, promos and campaign spots from here on.

It comes off the concept album The Outlaw Cherie Lee & Other Western Tales, and it sounds exactly like that title promises. Thunderous drums, an instrumental built for a dusty standoff, and a whistle line hanging over all of it like a shadow on a dirt road. Gunna keeps the Auto-Tune and leans into the setting with a few country turns of phrase, which lands better than it has any right to.

Shaboozey has spent this era refusing to sit still in one genre, and a stadium anthem dressed as a western is about as literal as that gets. It feels made for the walk out of the tunnel.
