James Hype and Volkoder released “1,2,3” on September 4, 2026 through Hype’s STEREOHYPE label, with an extended mix sitting next to it. Both of them had been playing it out well before it had a release date, which is usually a decent sign with a record like this.
Hype built his name on tight, physical club records and the clips of himself mixing them that travel everywhere. “Ferrari” with Miggy Dela Rosa is still the calling card, and 2026 has given him “Trigger Finger” on his own plus “Seratonin” and “Action” with Tita Lau. Volkoder has been working in tech house for more than twenty years, with records on Hot Creations and Black Book and a 2026 that has put him on stages at UNVRS in Ibiza and Pacha.
“1,2,3” sounds like the honest midpoint between the two of them, groove first and built for a dark room. It keeps Hype in the lane he has worked all through 2026, and it hands Volkoder a co-sign from one of the largest names in the genre.
