This one lands where feeling and scale actually meet. “Without You” brings GRYFFIN, AVELLO, and Sasha Sloan together for a release that starts from a more intimate place, with guitar-led verses and Sasha’s voice carrying the weight, before gradually opening into something much bigger.
That build is what gives the track its pull. GRYFFIN and AVELLO shape the lift with a light touch at first, then let the percussion and synths widen the frame until it hits with the kind of emotional release both producers clearly know how to make work.
There is also a bigger story behind the collab. AVELLO had already been in GRYFFIN’s orbit through the “Higher Power” remix and an opening slot earlier this year, so this feels like a natural next step, turning that early support into something more direct and fully collaborative.
More than anything, the release feels thoughtful. It is melodic, hopeful, and built with the kind of rise that makes it easy to imagine living just as well in headphones as it does in a live set.
