Carlita and Justine Skye took “WYWD” out for a night in New York. The video, released October 21, 2026 and directed by Hidji World, follows the two of them through house parties, dive bars and chance run-ins with friends, a loose, after-hours portrait of their friendship and the city around it. “WYWD,” short for “What You Wanna Do,” came out October 16 on Ninja Tune and sits second on Telepathy, the Turkish-Italian producer’s second album, due November 6.
Skye arrives straight off her summer dance project CANDY, and “WYWD” carries her out of R&B slow-burn territory onto a four-on-the-floor dance-pop groove. Carlita keeps the production warm and understated around her, so the whole thing feels built for the last hour of a house party, when the room is still full and the lights are still low.
Telepathy is built around what she calls human magnetism, the unspoken pull between people, memories and places. Carlita describes the title as “thinking about somebody or something with no attempt at possessing that thing, only for it to come into your life anyway.” That idea runs through a guest list of SOFI TUKKER, Paige Cavell, Stevie Appleton, Malive, Cleo Simone, Edd, Kosmo Kint and jasper.wav, which reads like a map of every room she has played.
The singles have been stacking up all year. “Patchwork” with Paige Cavell became her first BBC Radio 1 Hottest Record, “Manhattan” with SOFI TUKKER her first Radio 1 B List record, and “One More Dance” with Stevie Appleton arrived with the album announcement on September 3. It caps a huge run that took her through Coachella, Sónar, Outside Lands, Tomorrowland and Circoloco, and she plays Brooklyn Storehouse in New York on October 30, a week before Telepathy lands.
