Skrillex Selects 11/20 (Ft. Habstrakt, Schoolboy Q, Ghastly & Mija, Teddy Killerz & Branchez)

Skrillex returns with another playlist, featuring 5 tracks. They are all somewhat new, besides “Studio” from Schoolboy Q which comes out of nowhere.

Womp Womp Wednesday (Ft. Skrillex, Kayzo, Caspa & More)

Coming in hot with this week’s Womp Womp Wednesday! This week’s playlist starts off with Skrillex & Trollphace’s remix of “Burial” which sounds great mixed in with Pusha T’s signature grimy vocals and adlibs. That’s followed by Skellism and then Kayzo who recently joined the already massive gang of artists to remix Alesso and Tove Lo’s “Heroes” but he did put a unique DNB twist to it. The rest of the list consists of my favorite dubstep and DnB from the last week including songs by Dubloadz x KRAM, Virtual Riot, Snavs & Toby Green, Soltan, Whomp Rat, RUN DMT, Caspa, Electus, Kzeero, and Muzzy. Listen to the playlist and then hit the MORE button below to download your favorites.

LAXX – Step Three

With three EPs of the same theme already under his belt, LAXX brings his Step Three collection to Never Say Die today. Again spanning four tracks in length, this collection is suitably boisterous, and displays plenty of the bass producer’s finest qualities.

Kicking off with “The Invisible Invaders”, a whirlwind of sounds and frenzied wails – the urgency of its climax is truly memorable. “Step Three” is a more sophisticated version of its predecessors, again growing in power, it always sees a thunderous remix from British D&B producer Hamilton. “Semi Auto” has to be the favourite of the four, and is quite untouchable. Growling and stuttering explosions of bass penetrate the core of the tune, and its elongated build ups are nothing less than epic.

LAXX has pulled off another banging quartet of tunes with “Step Three” – his star is shining brightly right now.

Rain Man’s “Hunter Square” Is Just A Side Project, Here’s The Heavy Shit

rain man krewella 2014

A few hours ago, Kris Trindl aka Rain Man from Krewella returned to the blogosphere with some brand new music as Hunter Square with his Chicago homie Mat Devine.

He then took to Twitter to give fans even more good news. Hunter Square is just a side gig, and that he’s been cookin’ up that heavy ish we grew to love from his Krew days too. In fact, he even uploaded a preview to Soundcloud to give us a taste, and you can experience that after the jump.

Good to hear that as fans had hoped, he’s sticking to his some of his grimy roots, as well as expanding his pallet with the dance/pop friendly side project.

Soon enough he’ll be throwin’ down bass & womp heavy nationwide, and we can’t wait. Go follow him on Twitter to stay in touch.
