Von P has been on my radar for a few minutes now, not for an artist but as manager of an upscale lifestyle boutique in Boston, Laced. Knowing that Von was the manager of that boutique bringing some big names to do in-stores, I hadn’t the slightest clue that Von was also an aspiring artist.

While enjoying this beautiful spring day today, I had decided to stop in and check out Laced’s recent hoodie collaboration with Kid Ink’s Tha Alumni that has been flooding my Instagram as of late, as well as get my 48 Laws of Power book back from Yo Yo [which wasn't a success]. Von had dapped me up and said Yo Ryan I want you to hear something. After the minute and forty seconds were up I was hooked. Originating from Maryland and residing in Boston, Von has a hybrid flow and mixed with his lyricism makes Von A FORCE. Also be on the lookout for his collaboration wit Gio Dee that is releasing soon with visuals!

On a side note if you are in the Boston area Laced is hosting meet and greets with Emilio Rojas on April 15th and Pac Div on April 8th. The address for that is 569 Columbus Avenue near Northeastern University.

Indie powerhouse 1st Round Records just picked up a new act, Bridge, out of Los Angeles. 1st Rounds current lineup includes: Yonas, Sammy Adams, G. Curtis, and now Bridge. So they definitely have a knack of finding hot talent. I had discovered Do Ya Right a few weeks ago, and was pleased to discover that visuals were just incorporated with the track. But damn that chicks ASSS at 1:31! If you’re a home wrecker Do Ya Right should definitely be your anthem.
