Kanye West Amps Up Beef With Jay-Z Over TIDAL And Wants Out, Owed $3 Million
While Jay-Z is buzzing thanks to his freshly minted 4:44 album (which you can now download for free, legally!!), Kanye West is feeling the sh*tty end of the stick as he claims he’s owed $3 million from TIDAL.
The story unveiled itself after HOV supposedly fired shots at Ye on the lead track, “Kill Jay Z.”
“I know people backstab you, I feel bad too / But this fuck everybody attitude ain’t natural / But you ain’t the same, this ain’t KumbaYe / But you got hurt because you did cool by ‘Ye / You gave him 20 million without thinkin’ / He gave you 20 minutes on stage, fuck was he thinkin’? / ‘Fuck wrong with everybody?’ is what you sayin’ / But if everybody’s crazy, you’re the one that’s insane.”
And now reports are coming in that Kanye’s lawyers have been sending “breach of contract” letters to TIDAL going back months now, to end his relationship with the company and recoup the millions he claims he’s owed over The Life Of Pablo.
The dispute argues lack of bonus payouts for 1.5 million new subscribers as well as missing payments for video reimbursements. Word is he’s been holding the videos hostage until his payday, with Jay-Z’s team citing they have yet to receive them.
TIDAL continues to own the content of Pablo so it should be interesting to see how this plays out. Something tells us it will be in front of a judge.
