DJ Khaled was set to hype his forthcoming album Grateful with a huge EDC Las Vegas set, but it didn’t go exactly as planned. While everything leading up to this moment was game changing, his set was cut short by booing fans and claims of sabotage.

He’s saying it was intentionally cut short, and he was delayed going on stage because the sound “kept breaking.” But this YouTube video shows he probably didn’t belong on stage anyway… as fans seemed much more stoked about Yellow Claw to come on.

Khaled of course had his own side of the story, sharing a IG posts with fans chanting his name when they were trying to cut his set short. With his album due to arrive this Friday, June 23rd, will this debacle have a negative affect, or just lead to more added buzz?

Any publicity is good publicity, right?

Leading up to the set, he released a brand new single called “Wild Thoughts” featuring Rihanna and Bryson Tiller, that’s already earned 22 million views on YouTube and nearing 10 million plays on Spotify. Something tells us he’ll be just fine.

He wasn’t the only urban artist to make an appearance, as the likes of Metro Boomin, Drake, Rae Sremmurd, Miguel and others all had their moment.
