It’s Official! Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor August 26th in Las Vegas.
History will be made this August as the two biggest sports today clash in a head-to-head bout as the two most recognizable fighters on the planet schedule to do battle in the ring as it has been announced that undefeated former boxing champion Floyd “Money” Mayweather will fight current UFC champion Conor McGregor on August 26th.
The mega-fight will take place in Las Vegas on August 26th, as Floyd, currently 49-0 will be competing for his record-breaking 50th win. While Conor is looking to give Floyd his first lost and be considered the world’s best fighter on the planet. Conor recently made the record book as the first UFC champion in two weight classes simultaneously.
Conor will be entering the boxing ring from the octagon and will be fighting Floyd in a boxing match. Conor has a boxing past and recently signed for several license in a couple regions including Las Vegas, California, and New York. The mega-fight with Floyd Mayweather originally came into fruition after Conor became two-division champ in the UFC last year.
Deals behind the mega-fight are currently unknown; however, both Mayweather Promotions and the UFC will be involved in promotions behind the fight leading up to its August date. The bout will be distributed via Showtime pay-per-view. It will be an entirely boxing card. Mayweather Promotions will be the lead promoter in the fight with his long-successful history with Showtime.
The fight is estimated to generate over a world record breaking over 100 million dollars. Bigger then Mayweather’s current record holding of his fight between himself and Manny Pacquaio.
