Chance The Rapper On LeBron James’ Home Vandalized, Activism & More On The View

Taking a break from touring, indie sensation Chance the Rapper stopped by Whoopi Goldberg and the ladies at The View for quick interview to speak on a couple of the recent news surrounding the Chicago-native.

While on the show, Chance chimed in on a recent race-driven situation involving Cleveland Cavailers’ star LeBron James where his Los Angeles home was vandalized with offensive racial slurs. Chance looked at the situation as a reminder that society gives celebrities of his same color with the following opinion.

“It’s kind of a common pattern in America’s history, for people that look like me to get to a certain point of success people want to remind you how they view you as a second class citizen.”

Throughout the interview Chance discussed his family, active involvement in his community of Chicago, and of course music. Chance the Rapper has recently been reported in the studio with Drake, Childish Gambino, and Future working on new music.

Chance the Rapper is currently on his own Spring Celebration tour in support of his Grammy award-winning project, “The Coloring Book”.
