Lil Wayne Says His Long-Delayed ‘Carter 5’ is “Coming Soon”
They’re have been multiple sources in the past from Billionaire scrammers to the CEO of Cash Money himself claiming that Lil Wayne’s long-overdue ‘Carter 5’ album was coming out. However, Lil Wayne would always dismiss the newsfeeds on the fifth installment being on the way, until now.
During his Dallas stop on his “Kloser 2 U Tour”, Lil Wayne announced last night that his highly-anticipated, “The Carter 5” album was on the way and went on to continue to denounce his involvement with Cash Money by pledging his alliance to The Roc.

The last installment to The Carter series was released in 2011 with ‘The Carter 4’. Producers from ‘The Carter 4’ are currently in lawsuits with Cash Money for unpaid production cost. Production on the last album included, The Runners, Scott Storch, David Banner, and Cool and Dre.
Since originally announcing the fifth installment back in 2014, Lil Wayne has released several singles; however, due to lawsuits and beefing with his adopted father and Cash Money CEO Birdman. The Carter 5 has never been able to get an official release date. Lil Wayne is currently in a lawsuit with Birdman and Cash Money for unpaid royalties.
Along with ‘The Carter 5’, Lil Wayne has also announced the release of another three new projects coming soon. There is currently no word of an official release date for ‘The Carter 5’, more as the story develops.
