Summertime! Fresh Prince & DJ Jazzy Jeff Set To Reunite For Rare Summer Europe Shows
Looks like vintage Hip-Hop is making a return this Summer as the iconic duo of Will Smith, known professionally as, Fresh Prince and DJ Jazzy Jeff announce a couple reunion dates in Europe this August.
Annonced Sunday (April 23) on the recording artist-turned-award-winning actor’s facebook page. Smith (48) released a old fashion video, featuring footage of a young Fresh Prince and Jazzy Jeff making preparations for their first-time visit to Europe during Hip-Hop’s Golden Age, followed with an announcement of returning to the stage this summer with two oversea shows.
Fresh Prince and Jazzy Jeff will be returning together on stage at this year’s MTV’s Summer Blast Music Festival in Croatia on August 26th and Livewire Festival in Blackpool on August 27th. The two will perform their catalog of classic hits like “Parents Just Don’t Understand”, “Girls Ain’t Nothing But Trouble”, and the certified greatest Summer song of all-time, “Summertime”.
The tag under the recently released video ad, the Fresh Prince asked fans if “Ya’ll Ready”. The last time Prince and Jeff shared a stage was back in 2015 in Las Vegas. Back in 2015, Will Smith also hinted at a reunion tour and new album during interviews; however, nothing has fruition as of yet. Will Smith and DJ Jazzy Jeff formed the group back in the 80s and saw massive success in the 90s that later transcend into both starring on the iconic NBC sitcom, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. The same show that launched Will Smith into film superstardom, playing in classic blockbusters, “Independence Day”, “Men in Black”, and “I Am Legend”.
