Chance The Rapper is Being Nominated For Mayor of Chicago 2019
Highly-successful Chicago independent recording artist Chance the Rapper has become not only the most-sought after artist in today’s music but a highly-publicized activist in his city of Chicago’s public school system. After doing so much good for the CPS, many of the public are currently campaigning for the “No Problems” hitmaker to become Mayor of Chicago.
Fans of the recording artist, inspired by his many acts of helping his local community, have developed a new website called, chano4mayor.com. Creators of the site speak highly of Chano in a issued statement and encourage him to run in the 2019 election; saying,
“Hey Chance, We think you’d be a great mayor… You represent Chicago on the world stage, and you do us proud.”
The website even uses a 2015 verse from Chance’s “Somewhere in Paradise” as a tagline where Chance plants the seed of possibly running for office in the future. The verse says, “They screamin’, ‘Chano for mayor,’ I’m thinkin’ maybe I should…”
In recent weeks, Chance has spoken to the Govenor of Illinois on CPS budget, donated a million of his own money to CPS, visited students during career day, and launched his own scholarship program, and gotten the Chicago Bulls organization to match his one-million dollar denotation of their own, and opened up applications for an intern position on his team.
The chano4mayor website has also created a Twitter account as well for fans to follow and help in support of the campaign. Will Chance answer the call in 2019?
