Chance the Rapper Launches Chance Arts and Literature Fund, Receives $1 Million Dollar Donation from Chicago Bulls
Wow, Chance is definitely building up quite the portfolio for a future seat in Chicago politics as he announced today that he has officially started up his own scholarship fund, known as the, Chance Arts and Literature Fund. Helping kick-off the funding is a very positive gestured donation from the Chicago Bulls.
During a press conference held today (March 31st), in Chicago, Chance reads a student’s letter written to him from the Chicago Public School system in thanking of Chance’s one-million dollar donation to the CPS a week ago. While speaking, Chance noted that his Social Works non-profit organization raised $2.2 million since the MC first donated to $1 million to the CPS. Chance previously said Social Works would donate $10,000 to individual schools for every $100,000 they raised.
An effort made possible by Chance himself after a disappointing meeting with Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner. Chance’s donation was also a motivational tool for other Chicago organizations to get involved with the cause and answering the call was the city’s NBA Basketball team, legendary Chicago Bulls. The Bulls matched Chance’s one-million dollar donation with a equal amount donation of their own.
The Chicago Bulls took to twitter to express their excitiment in Chance’s efforts and proud to be apart of the new cause. See what the organization had to say in the tweet below:

Former Chicago Bulls-now-New York Knicks point guard, Derrick Rose supported Chance’s cause several weeks ago with a donation of his own to CPS. Chance is encouraging more companies and organizations in the surrounding Chicago area to answer the call as well.
Chance is set to embark on a nationwide 40-city arena tour starting the end of April.
